Medical intervention should always come first. Those who followed a course of medical treatment and are still suffering from related symptoms often seek alternative treatment as a way to deal with symptoms. SoundWave Hawaii Therapy has shown positive results for the following:

Arthritis and Joint Pain

POTENTIAL RELIEF FROM: Pain and inflammation

Inflammation of one or more joints. The inflammation causes pain in the joint and is the main complaint from people with arthritis. Too often, we assume joint pain is a normal part of aging that we have to learn to live with. Nothing is further from the truth.

Bursitis

POTENTIAL RELIEF FROM: Pain, stiffness and inflammation

Bursitis is the inflammation of a bursae. Bursae is a fluid filled sac that acts as a cushion between muscles, tendons and joints. There are more than 150 bursae in the human body. Healthy bursae create a smooth, almost frictionless functional gliding surface making normal movement painless. However, when bursitis occurs, movement relying upon the inflamed bursa becomes difficult and painful. Symptoms vary from joint pain and stiffness to stinging pain that surrounds the joint.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

POTENTIAL RELIEF FROM: Pain, numbness, weakness, tingling and restricted movement

CTS is a syndrome in which there is excessive pressure on the median nerve (a nerve in the wrist that allows feeling and movement to the hand). This causes pain, numbness, weakness, tingling, restricted movement or muscle damage in hand.

Diabetic Neuropathy

POTENTIAL RELIEF FROM: Numbness, facial drooping, muscle weakness and pain

Diabetic neuropathy are neuropathic disorders that are associated with diabetes. This condition is thought to result from diabetic microvascular injury involving small blood vessels that supply nerves in addition to macrovascular conditions that can culminate in diabetic neuropathy. Symptoms may include: numbness, dysesthesia (abnormal sensation to a body part), diarrhea, facial drooping, dizziness, muscle weakness and pain.

Fibromyalgia

POTENTIAL RELIEF FROM: Pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, numbness and joint stiffness

FM or FMS is characterized by chronic widespread pain. However, pain is not the only symptom. Others include: fatigue, sleep disturbance, numbness and joint stiffness. Fibromyalgia is frequently associated with psychiatric conditions such as depression and anxiety.

Lupus

POTENTIAL RELIEF FROM: Joint inflammation, headaches, chest pain, decreased blood flow and  fatigue

Lupus is an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system becomes hyperactive and attacks normal, healthy tissue. This results in symptoms such as inflammation, swelling, and damage to joints, skin, kidneys, blood, the heart and lungs. Symptoms often include: achy joints, swelling, pain, fatigue, anemia, chest pain, light sensitivity, anxiety, depression, headaches and memory loss.

Migraine Headaches

POTENTIAL RELIEF FROM: Migraines and pain

Migraine is a chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent moderate to severe headaches often in association with a number of autonomic nervous system symptoms.

Multiple Sclerosis

POTENTIAL RELIEF FROM: Pins and needles, numbness, muscle weakness, muscle spasms, difficulty moving, feeling tired and chronic pain

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory disease in which the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged. The damage disrupts the ability of parts of the nervous system to communicate, resulting in a wide range of signs and symptoms including: tingling, pins and needles or numbness, muscle weakness, muscle spasms, difficulty in moving, feeling tired, acute or chronic pain, bladder and bowel difficulties.

Peripheral Vascular Disease

POTENTIAL RELIEF FROM: Pain, weakness, numbness and cramping in muscles

PVD refers to the obstruction of large arteries not within the coronary, aortic arch vasculature or brain. Symptoms include: pain, weakness, numbness or cramping in muscles due to decreased blood flow, sores, wounds or ulcers that heal slowly or not at all, and diminished hair and nail growth on affected limb and digits.

Sciatica and Back Pain

POTENTIAL RELIEF FROM: Pain, numbness, pins and needles and weakness

Sciatica is pain caused by general compression or irritation of one of five spinal nerve roots or by compression or irritation of the left or right or both sciatic nerves. Symptoms include: lower back pain, buttock pain and numbness, pain or weakness in various parts of the leg and foot. Other symptoms include: a "pins and needles" sensation, tingling and difficulty moving or controlling the leg.
